Starting at the beginning of 2022, LRDG will be accepting cryptocurrency as payment for our services. We are excited to announce this, as we believe cryptocurrency is a viable medium that can provide our clients with flexibility in how they pay for online services. We hope that this choice will allow us to pursue new opportunities, and explore a disruptive new market. Cryptocurrency is becoming more popular in online transactions, and it would be our pleasure to do business with anyone who’s looking to utilize it.
What is Cryptocurrency?
For those who aren’t aware, cryptocurrency is a catch-all term for a decentralized, all-electronic currency system that allows you to pay for online services peer-to-peer. It is often created by a process known as “mining,” which involves a computer being used to solve a complicated formula and being rewarded with a block of “coins” as a result. Not all crypto-coins are mined, but big-name coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum are. Once mined or exchanged, the resulting coins are stored within the same complicated formula, known as a blockchain, a unified ledger spread across multiple disparate computers. Your access key to these coins is stored in a digital wallet, and is the only way you can access the coins.
The draw for most investors in cryptocurrency is the ability to avoid middle-men. Unlike fiat currencies, cryptocurrencies are theoretically immune to centralized financial institutions systems’ interference, manipulation, counterfeiting and double spending. As the network is spread across millions of computers and maintained in part by a mechanism called “proof of stake.” Proof of stake is a multifaceted system that ensures that cryptocurrency networks do not put all of their eggs in one basket, ensuring that energy costs, network usage and other pertinent facets are spread across the network. Theoretically, no one person controls the cryptocurrency system.
One of the most interesting things about cryptocurrency is that it is open-source. Open-source means the programming source code is open and accessible to the public. Just about anyone with a bit of programming expertise can make their own crypto coins, either by creating their own software or by modifying the source code of an existing cryptocurrency, and just about any crypto coin can take off. Indeed, there is a wide variety of cryptocurrencies in circulation at the moment, ranging from Bitcoin, Ethereum and their widely-established variants to smaller tokens that are still picking up steam. This makes cryptocurrency something of a speculative market; some coins will never acquire much value, but some can become truly valuable, useful methods of exchange.

Does LRDG charge more if you pay cryptocurrency for marketing services?
If you’re concerned about prices, don’t worry. If you’re paying with cryptocurrency, you’ll be paying the same price/value as anyone else (if applicable, tax are translated into the same value of crypto, too). The base price of our services will not change whether you are paying in traditional currencies or crypto. We are up front about our prices, and will process your transactions swiftly. All cryptocurrencies transactions will follow the same format.

If the quote is acceptable, you can send your crypto coins to our crypto address.
However, depending on your chosen crypto-coin, there may be a processing fee charged by the blockchain network. These fees go towards the upkeep of cryptocurrency networks, such as the gas price for the Ethereum network. So, whether you are looking to get your business online, generate more sales, or enhance your business, you can now do any one or all of these with the cryptocurrency that you have.
